A Hive of activity
At the weekend we moved the bees from their snug winter nuc boxes into their full-sized hives, ready for the season ahead. Thanks to the glorious weather we’ve been enjoying here in Gun Hill, they’ve wasted no time settling in.
In fact, our girls are already up and out, busy gathering nectar — a good two weeks earlier than many colonies across the country even get started. It’s a wonderful sign of a strong, healthy start to the year, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Spring has officially begun at Gun Hill Honey.
